Serial killer Jerome Brudos died in prison in March 2006 of liver disease at the age of 67.
He last came up for parole in August of 2003. The parole board made their decision to deny him parole after a half hour interview.
The Oregon Board of Prisons and Paroles decreed years ago that Brudos would never be released.
He maintained his usual affable mien until the end. Without knowing the truth about his sadistic torture-murders, no one would ever suspect that he is one of the most heinous killers in Oregon history.
He had no contact with his former wife or two grown children. When Portland media personality Lars Larson asked Brudos about the murders he committed, he joked, "It was a slow Saturday night. . ."
